Al-Mustafa University’s Festival Largest Quran, Hadith Competition in World: Official

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An official with Al-Mustafa International University said the university’s annual Quran and Hadith festival is the largest competition held in the field of the Quran and Hadith in the world.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hossein Rafiei said the competition, which features the Quran, Hadith and prayers, aims to promote acquaintance with the Book of God and Hadith among the university’s students, graduates and family members.

He told IQNA that it is the largest in the world in terms of the number of nationalities taking part in it, the number of categories, and the scope of the competition.

The managing director of the university’s Quran and Hadith Department added that the 27^th edition of the event, which will conclude in a ceremony on Wednesday, has been organized in 27 categories in oral and written sections.

They include Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization, prayer recitation, Adhan (call to prayers), Ibtihal, and Tawasheeh, he noted.

The cleric added that some 14,000 members of the university took part in this edition, which has been held with the contribution of Al-Mustafa University’s branches in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Russia, Turkmenistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Madagascar, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania and Pakistan.
